Wow, all that compensation and all he wears is a T-shirt and jeans and he looks like he's going to go wash the car or cut the grass. All that money you think the man could afford a shirt with a collar. He should have more respect for his position, his job and his company - you think he would present himself better - especially given his senior leadership role. I think he's trying to look like a 37-year-old tech bro, but he's way past that. In my opinion, the way he dresses screams I don't care.

The US is a Constitutional Republic. It is also a pseudo capitalistic society. Pseudo because if it were true Capitalism, things would be allowed to break. In the US, we now have Capitalism with no real free market. We have subsidies, corporate bailouts, tax preferences, protectionism, "too big to fail" etc etc etc. It worked for MANY years but now is it turning?

Don't turn this into left or right. This has been going on for decades.

Capitalism, in it's purest sense, does not promise everyone a good outcome. It promises economic outcomes not something based on political allocation.

What is fair? I have no idea. But when the chasm between rich and poor becomes so huge, people will start to question the "system".

@dt

Well said.

Solid conservative here...for now.

But DELL has shown that they dont believe in a middle class. Or American exceptionaliam. That they have no 2nd thoughts about destroying thousands of lives to profit just a bit more.

Hate to even give the DSA any credit, but maybe it IS US vs Them.

(Workers vs Oligarchs).

That hurt to even say...

look at this sh-t.
wow.
this kind of junk is pushing the nation towards the socialism which i despise.
literally everything flows just to the top layer and the rest of the masses get peanuts.
the game is rigged - at least they used to throw a bone or two to us a few decades ago.
i am very concerned about the direction of our country, this is not a dell specific problem, it's all over the place. trillionaires, billionaires, nine figures - all this while the society is crumbling, benefits are being cut, housing cannot be afforded, food and energy prices thru the roof, relentless inflation, questionable wars. grift, nepotism, crony schemes and pay-to-play has been normalized, all politicians paid.
things will break.

Of that 154 Million is a 132 Million Options piece. Those options don't vest until 2031. It's basically saying If he can turn this AI infrastructure opportunity into enormous increases in Dell's value while simultaneously producing the cash flow to support it, you'll be a rich man. It isn't a slam dunk.

I made a mistake. It's 25 Million to 154 Million.

25 Million to 135 Million?!? I wonder what he needed to do to get this? He must've been tasked with a massive restructuring event for that kind of money.

I’m in pain seeing these numbers, others on the other hand are deciding bills or groceries this month!

Wow! Now you know why he is trying to move fast. Relative to what he was being paid, that's obviously a huge jump. I am willing to bet that there is a correlation between the magnitude of this compensation value with the amount of people being laid off.

@a7 I'd be reluctant to hand him the keys to my car because I suspect he'd show up in a t-shirt.
