Edmonton Job Postings

Nothing makes me feel better than seeing job postings for roles in head office that are in Edmonton. So many people have said no to relocation they have no choice but to go external.

The institutional knowledge loss will be huge.

The company is going to move on and keep running with increased cost saving day by day. They don’t give a sh-t about expertise ,experience and skillset. After all the main goal is the sell the asset and just make the best out of it before they sell it.

Let's stop pretending about we care about knowledge/skills retention. Site managers kept reminding us to upskills KL staff, transfer knowledge to BTC so that their eng package is not garbage.

It's so bad they even have to hire a recruiter to hire the backfills for the qualified people they're laying off in Calgary. Total clown show.

Wow, yeah, that's a ton of postings in Edmonton for some very specific roles. The crazy part is that most of the industry expertise for a lot of the roles is in Calgary, not Edmonton. I'm sure the company will find people to fill the seats, but it certainly won't be optimal. This move was utter stupidity.
