The date has to be Monday 24th of Aug. That’s 60 days before October 23.
October 23 is the final RSU payout for any RSUs this year. Other 3 dates are in September: 15,19,20.
I think this is sound reasoning.

@hw Last year those given the bad news in early August were terminated on Sept 22, more like six weeks. I was surprised by the "garden leave". I recall the SUNW RIF in 2017, when the sacrificed were terminated the same day. Not sure how SCA circumvented the Cal WARN trigger that time, as hundreds were terminated that day from that campus.
@ge agreed. But I think to be consistent across the US and Canada they will use the 60 days

@a5 Your mileage may vary. I know many people who did not get any WARN, because the percentage or total numbers of those let go at their office were lower than the trigger.
Yeah, I thought it would happen by Aug 15th so I wouldn’t get my RSUs that vest 9/15. And now here we are. Let’s face it, we’re all just speculating at this point as to when it will happen.
