potential layoff only 5 months after joining

just a rant: kind of difficult to take in that we could potentially be laid off. A bit harder to take in especially since I joined 5 months ago as an early career new grad. Had to move across the country without relocation assistance only to be on the chopping block. wish they would rip the bandaid off already.

i know it's a stressful time for everyone given their own situations, I don't want to make it seem all about me! I hope the best for all of us! Welcome to the corporate world moment for me, lol

@a2 any external hires are sh---y jobs. Good positions get a ton of internal activity while the sh-t jobs get posted external.

@OP i have a new grad on my team, and worry about the stress they have.
I do my best to train and teach.
Do know it's also hard for folks with 10 years here as well.

Same! I started about a year ago. Moved cross country and rearranged my life. Only to find the company su-ks and my team su-ks. My manager literally never shows up and is never online. And my leads are constantly trying to sabotage and block any work I do. I'm so mad about the things I've lost to this job. I've been trying to do as little as possible just to make it feel even.

One of my teammates moved from another country.
