@cp Actually, that was mean of me to say. I really don’t like overly compensated CEO’s but I try not to succumb to personal attacks. My apologies.

@am I had to Google what a puffer best was.

AI Overview
A puffer vest is a sleeveless, quilted outer garment filled with down feathers or synthetic fibers. It features a distinct puffy texture created by stitched sections that trap body heat. This design keeps your core warm while leaving your arms free for easy movement.

I also came across a picture of a woman wearing one. Wish I could upload.

@an ”The press release clarifies it but should have been included in the email.”

Yeah, they’ve never really been that good at communicating. 😀

Crystal Ball: Centene Has a New CEO by the End of 2027!

Neczypor wasn’t hired to keep Drew’s seat warm.

He will:

  • Tear apart Centene’s forecasts
  • Reset Wall Street’s expectations
  • Compare Mission Simplify’s cost with its actual return
  • Shake up finance and actuarial
  • Clean up the “legacy decisions”

By the end of 2027, Sarah is thanked for her leadership and leaves with her puffer vest collection to “pursue her next chapter.” Daniel Finke takes over because he ran Aetna and now controls Medicaid and Marketplace.

The technology visionary experiment ends. A health plan operator and turnaround CFO clean up what’s left.

I can only hope the new CFO wears tight shirts to show off his find as well. Yummy!

@ag In the email it absolutely does not say January 1st 2027 when the new CFO will come in. The press release does. The email does not.

The only time 2027 is used in the email is for talking about how long Drew is staying.

The press release clarifies it but should have been included in the email.

@a5 maybe you didn't read the email it literally says that he is stepping down December 31st and will retire the end of 2027 and it also says that the next CFO will step up on January the 1st of 2027. Maybe stop coming in here being so upset about other things that you're taking it out on a group of people who actually had it correct.

@a5 Drew is leaving the CFO position EOY 26 but will retire from Centene EOY 27. Presumably he will stay in some cushy emeritus advisory role to help the transition, and carry Sarah’s luggage rack full of puffer vests on flights.

@OP BUT he will leave with a very lucrative severance package and stock options while the rest of us eat cake. The entire C Suite are crooks. Shame on you!!!

For anyone interested in what the new CFO did in his prior company Lincoln Financials. Might offer a few insights on what the board wants to do financially in the future with him

@a9 actually it doesn’t. It just says January 1st… I should have read the press release which does confirm the Jan 1 2027 date.

He was probably offered a nice VSP and decided to take it. They pushed his exit date to the end of next year because he was too important to the company. :)

@a1 well there ya have it. That girl can lower her 19 million dollar salary! Why does she feel like she needs that much money anyways! Greedy! She should just go ahead and step down. These dang elites.

Wait is he not leaving until Dec 31 2027 not 2026. It does not say if the new guy is taking over Jan 1 2027 or 2028. Leave it to this group to even sc--w up the announcement.

What's there to discuss? The company hasn't been performing, and someone under Sarah has to fall.

I'm surprised Tanya hasn't as well, especially with the incredible lack of organizational development discipline.

The new CFO Christopher Neczypor is 45 and made $7,683,636 in total compensation last year.

When these moves are made, they're made by the shareholders, not Sarah. It's absolutely possible he becomes the new CEO in a year or two.
