Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

lawsuits

Team,

I am looking for a good law firm that is interested in pursuing a case against Oracle for how are evaluating people's year ends reviews and how they are calculating ATV/bonuses. Anyone have any referrals of good law firms with a winning track record? Yes, I am still employed with Oracle but who knows by next month.

Think about it, Oracle's basically a law firm that slaps software licenses on the side of things. That's the real secret to their longevity.

@b6 Just because a bonus is extra doesn't mean I am not entitled to fight for it when I am putting in the hours and sweat to help our company when our shareholders don't give a F.

@ds You would be surprise which firms are taking the plunge to take Oracle on. The economy is rought even for lawyers. That said, I posted this hear to see if there was a burning desire for others to so something about injustices at Oracle. Sure, we are talking about the unfair practice of how our bonuses are calculated. So, I will be the first today, that at least I am doing something about it unlike older F's who are so burned out that they are lucky they still have a job at Oracle

OP, how much do you think a "good" law firm is going to cost you? They will be glad to take your case and bill you a few hundred per hour. Ask them to take your case on the contingency that they only get paid if you win and based on a percentage of what you are awarded and see if they still want to represent you.

The only thing you’re entitled to is a paycheck so go cry a river.

ok, if you dont like your review, find a new job. How many of us used to go for years without a bonus or payraise? It might have been only 15 years ago I actually got a bonus. Im 62, so yep been doing this job thing for a while.

Bonus isn't required. A bonus is extra. Be happy with a paycheck or find something new you entitled sniveling lil thing

I'm not in the US, but the lawyer is definitely engaged given the crazy way Oracle thinks they can treat me over the other side of the pond.

@OP Simpson Thatcher and Proskauer Rose both NY Firms not sure they will touch it if they are already representing Oracle or clients that do business with Oracle but either way, knowing lawyers, they can tell you which firms could help.
