I want out but would rather be RIFd. Any PL on here that can help me out with how to make myself disposable?

@as ok so based on your description of a RIF which is correct and your position is not eliminated but you are just replaced ? What does that mean ?
@OP yes. Be old and pi-s off the VP and file a complaint with HR so you get on Tye sh-t list.
Feels a little like if you say you want to be RIFd you leave yourself open to the possibility of that being interpreted as voluntary exit and that eliminates the possibility of unemployment.
If you are serious, tell your leader. You personally know someone who did this and their request was granted. It was a smooth transition, too, since nobody was surprised.
It's too late now.
Tell your PL that you want to be RIFed if there are future layoffs.
It’s very simple - just be a consistent low performer on a contract required team. When you get on a PIP, improve just enough to get off it and then slack off again.
Also, make sure your VP doesn’t like you. That will ensure you’re first on the list to get fired.
@as how do you know it’s WellCare.
Also, RIF is not a guarantee the job was eliminated. It could be just re-named, classified, etc.
As part of a reorganization I was given hundreds of direct reports. I’d rather have been RIFd as well. So please be kind as we may not know the entire picture.
Empathy goes farther than being like SL and other current leaders.
I think you are inquiring as to how to get permanently fired. A RIF is when a Job is permanently deleted with no plan to bring a person in to fill the role. The VSP and current layoff is a result of the company hiring and replacing us with middle easterns.
If you want to leave Wellcare, leave. Look for another job, negotiate an offer for that job, put in your notice to leave Wellcare, start new job.
