AT&T Guarantee

How do executives think the AT&T guarantee is a good thing?

If anything, it’s a complete middle finger to the customer when their internet is out for a day, and they get $2.32 refunded 30 days later.

Are they just THIS out of touch with normal people?

As a former ATT employee I still get family and friends commenting frequently on how offensive they find this “reimbursement” for lost productivity. #neverends

I got 45 cents once. It changed my life.

Every time I see the "AT&T Guarantee" commercials, I think, "Hey, they are advertising that your service will be out." Its a fact of life, but why would you lead your advertising with that fact. And then when your service IS out and you get $2 on the bill for it, who thinks, "I love that AT&T did that!"

I thought raising the bill was the at&t guarantee

100% embarrassing. The company spends 10's of Millions or advertising this gimmick. It is really unbelievable. Look at what has to happen just to get the $2 approved. Totally embarrassing

hahaha. Yeah. 2.32 does not begin to make up for the potential losses to people who rely on a network connection to do their work. Not AT&T employees, obviously, since we can't be trusted to work from our homes :D

D-mbest marketing gimmick yet!

“We’ll give you what you paid for… we uhh…. We guarantee it!”

We launched this marketing gimmick right when we began the Nokia -> Ericsson project. We have sites offline on and off all over the place while construction happens. Just another boneheaded decision made by “leadership”

Not to mention customer is asleep 8 hours a day, so the refund is always less than the actual impact to the customer when it’s based on 24 hour rates.

Unless they’re a T employee, then they’re still sitting in traffic on the commute and are only home for 10 waking hours a week.

Not to mention the design requirements to avoid making even these minor payouts. The whole thing is the d-mbest idea yet, by far.

Yes, it just pi---s people off. I was credited $0.36 for several hours of an outage. Not even worth the print.

They are completely out of touch. Rather than try to stay competitive like all of the other mobile companies we have the fu-k a-s at&t guarantee which has gotten the frontline cussed out DAILY. NO ONE cares about that guarantee because it doesn't hold up to any of the built in hype, is a waste of resources that could be channeled elsewhere and has yet to make a customer say "Oh okay cool I think I'll stay with at&t". AFTER...at&t just RAISED their bill again for the however many times it has happened in the last year.
