Walked out a year ago and the weight lifted immediately. I'm a completely different person now. I can't tell you how much my life has improved now that I don't spend more than a third of each day stressing and surrounded by a toxic environment. If you can, leave. It'll make all the difference.

Agree! I was a part of the layoffs in February and I was so happy - I thanked the person laying me off! I found a job in a few months and that coupled with my severance put me in a great financial position and the role I have is great! Positive culture with healthy happy people plus fully remote! The grass is greener on the other side sometimes!!!
Agree! I did not realize how toxic the culture was until you leave it and realize the stress you've been under. I found a new role in 2 months after leaving.
@a9 I was offered the VRP earlier this year but unfortunately could not take it due to financial constraints of a kid in college. I am hoping for a layoff or another VRP offering soon. But I am happy that you were able to get out.
How long did it take you to land something new? Did you stay in the same field?
Took the VRP earlier this year and 100% agree! So much accumulated stress and burnout just vanished.
