I have an interview with a recruiter for an internal position I applied to. Any idea what they ask? I am guessing technical questions are reserved for an interview with the hiring manager. Also my application status still shows applications received despite recruiter sending me interview invite. Is this one of those fake positions?

@fr I read the post from the so called Id--t - clearly written by a manager - I know because I am one and live it all the time. Person speaks the total truth. Recruitment process at this place is an inconsistent joke. If you were a manager you would agree - if you aren't you shouldn't name call about what you know nothing about
@f1 You are an id--t. I didnt say I was a manager. I mean yeah I am E13 so manager level but not someone who have direct reports. People like you shouldn't have any direct reports
@es yes they do send candidates to the hiring manager for proceed to go forward or not - you must not be a manager or one who has never gotten an applicant sent to you for you to review that CLEARLY does not qualify, or has INSANE salary expectations - chat with your recruiter "of the day" since we no longer get the same one even in the same quarter - and ask them if they can tell you what the qualifications are - this place...just wow
@dp Interesting. Does that mean that they filter out associates for an interview with the hiring manager? I thought hiring manager reviews all applicants and tells recruiters to move forward.
@OP general questions - recruiters at this place have long known to be rather clueless. You should turn the thing around and ask what they know about the position you are interviewing for, essentially ask about requirements, job duties etc. I personally have gotten candidates "screened" by them who should have never gotten to the next step.
@a7 Thank you.
It will say “received” until the recruiter screens you and the hiring manager elects to interview you. THEN, it will update to “under consideration” :)
