I can’t believe that people at this company would be so stupid as to have someone badge in for them. Obviously there are cameras and with timestamps it doesn’t take a genius to figure out who someone is.
They already have the timestamps of the badge swipes if they wanted to go that route. This changes nothing. A few id--ts actually try to get other people to badge for them and this will prevent that.

Everyone should opt out. Are they still scanning your face? Very likely, but its the only way we can say "i disapprove of this". Next time they may not give the option, even if it is symbolic
I would guess the “badge refresh” process that is currently ongoing probably has some tracking built in, as well.

opting out badgeless entry using facial recognition doesn't mean they're not still scannig your face upon entry.
