What is "OBD"?
@er Clearly you have not studied the OBD operating model. Roles are being eliminated so that DPMs do BA work and Engineers QA their own work; and AI is the means in which they expect the model to ease the increased responsibility and work.
Traditional BA and QA jobs are all but extinct in Allstate, and have been for a few years now. Nothing to do with AI and all to do with TG and OBD and Zulfi and Kamal's single-mindedness about whatever it is they're trying to achieve.
Speed to market means nothing if the products are sh-t. And they are. Because stories aren't written well: DPMs are not BAs. Teams don't talk to each other, having been siloed by Z & K's TG, so the software is incompatible with other parts of the system and breaks. The products are not tested as well as they used to be, if at all.
AI may bring it's own problems or solutions or both, but it's not responsible for Allstate eliminating BAs and QA roles.
@b5 If one group of workers can be removed with AI; all will. It’s a philosophical direction. if AI gives the edge then Quantum then crystal ba--s then base sorcery and demonology, if tech and money is priority over staff then greed will burn everything around it.
