Seeing another Chief executive hire this week and more VP hires. Can someone explain the logic?

New Chief Executive and VPs indicates to me that there will be another round of mass layoffs. Recent hires have all been external. They will assess their teams and make cuts. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a lot of VPs go in Jan/Feb
Broader base to spread the blame around and avoid accountability as the ship sinks. Also allows for more stacking of leadership roles with "yes" people who won't rock the boat and just do as instructed.

“Leadership” at Nike is the equivalent of throwing pasta at the wall and seeing what sticks
