Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

How many SVP and VP’s does HR need?

It’s honestly wild, good for them buddying up with M.L. from the start and getting in his ear on who to cut, that’s worked out well so far! (For them) ….But hey smart move by HR, they all get promoted and never laid off. I’m not saying they don’t provide value overall, but I find it odd/maybe the reason that they are the kingpins of this failing company…

Omaha HR doesn't need ANY Director that can't follow Fiserv values in treating other employees. The respective VP can take of it very well.

@gr ok lets guess what department your in?! … Didn’t we just get a new CTO? If you’re talking about incompetence, I’m not saying you’re wrong, but this post is not talking about incompetence. We’re talking about Muda! Investing that much money in all of these Director+^ positions in an HR department, when it should be spent on better high level tech talent would eradicate your argument using your own logic! …Or you work in HR and feel attacked because you make more money than you probably deserve.

@ad What a joke! Go look at the tech leadership in place for years! We’re a tech company - there’s your downfall.

@OP HR provides absolutely NO value to a company whatsoever. There was a CEO who ridded his company of HR and within months the company was back on course in the right direction.

I equate HR as the same level of politicians and used car salesmen at used car lots.

@c5 Junior HR employees seem to be ok.. The issue is with the 'Director'.. Not sure how she got that title at Omaha office .. can't even speak for 6 minutes.. Basic professionalism and understanding of an employee's contributions to Fiserv clients/consumer base is 'required' to be a "director".. before treating the employee being terminated for a business reason as a Felon.. HR has no right treat such employees as culprits.. What the fu-k you contributed to Fiserv.. I challenge.. let's compare.. only thing that maters is what you and I contributed Fiserv clients/end user community..

Can you even stay at one company for 25 years ??

@c3 Sorry to hear that.. HR in Omaha fits the bill you described, not sure how Fiserv treats them being redundant and working against Fiserv values.. you are not alone..

HR is SO arrogant and disrespectful.. after 25 years of service with many performance based accolades starting from CheckFree, quick promotions/unique bonuses/chairman club selection etc..

All HR director had to say in 2 minutes was you are being terminated, here is one page FAQ, go to Ask HR for anything you need..

When I asked about how about my personal belonging at my desk. she said you are not allowed to go there, we will mail them to you.. Sh-t they mailed to me after couple of months.

Just be at it.. I was the one left the premises with a proud smile because I was 100% professional and honest every single day of service to Fiserv.. Yet they called security on me..

I mean when Fiserv terminates a long term employee for business reasons, I agree with the reason of termination whatever it was, it was business.. how come HR can be SO indifferent and treat those being let go as convicted felons..

Even a law enforcement officer stops for a reasonable suspicion, they give main minimum dignity and decency with the suspect until it is proven..

But Fiserv's HR is quite different. They treat their own colleagues like felon while terminating.. we are not felons.. Fiserv just doesn't need our services anymore.. we completely understand that..

Why cant YOU, the so called 'Human' resources maintain dignity and decency. Everyone goes through such situation.. you are not exempt.. All of a sudden how a long term employee looks like a felon to you ???
