Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Routines

Old routine: Enjoy a cup of coffee, go heads down and be productive before meetings.

New routine: Log and be immediately bombarded by IMs and meeting invites by offshore contractors that don't understand the work because they log off earlier than you and just cannot attend meetings.

I just ignore them and respond after a day or so. I got my own work to do and no time to babysit.

Unfortunately they are there to eventually take your job. The more you help the easier it is for them to eliminate your position.

They should have to work based on US time zones. See how many of them are willing to work for peanuts then.

If I get a teams message from an "offshore" I wait an hour or two to respond. What happens is they will just go pester someone else with their nonsense. Everyone should just ignore them.

The minute I disconnect from a meeting where we just discussed all of this: Hi (insert name) GM - quick call?

Like no. I would rather take a cheese grater to my brain than have my 4th "quick call" this morning. Pay attention in the meetings and as questions like a normal person.
