Bay Area Risk Cuts Today

First of speciality market cuts in risk today, huge numbers of people in Concord and San Francisco gone. No warning or notice or hint.
Who said specialty markets can’t grow but stay??

Unclear to me the total number impacted but it was at least the Controls and Compliance teams in SF/Concord. Heard possibly NYC too.

Those specialty markets were never special to begin with. A number of them were designated that way simply because they had OC+1/+2 people work there. But we all know those offices will be shuttered sooner or later and then you will be able to count the remaining core locations on one hand.
