Thread regarding PayPal layoffs

Money where my mouth is….

Ok, enough is enough. We have a great company and I’m not sure why investors can’t see this opportunity. Everyone on here talking about low price of stock and I agree, so I bought 200 shares today. I don’t get any stock comp so I have to buy but this is about as low as I’ve ever seen in the 7 years I’ve worked.

@a8 yeah not happy with Enrique as the CEO and I’m sure it was some weird BOD’s bullsh-t but i definitely bought some shares when it was like $45 before the Stripe debacle. I would also buy at these prices as well and told some family members. I think we will have some exciting stuff coming up with agentic AI commerce and other areas.

@a6

Try to take it a little deeper. Layoffs are happening regardless of profitability. Increased stock prices are only going to further enrich the bloated executive class. Very little will make it down to us worker bees.

“We have a great company”

Why don’t you spend a few days on the PayPal subreddit to understand what our customers think of us.

We are not a great company.

A great fintech company does not hire a used HP printer hack as its leader. Seriously GTFO with this diatribe.

Just out of curiosity why is this getting downvoted? And why would buying the shares be boot licking? Generally asking because cheering for layoffs would be boot licking in my opinion.

@OP it was $38 back in February. The stock should be worth north of $75 based on FCF but nobody believes in this leadership team! They dropped the ball for 5 years running and then voted in one of their own, a printer CEO. He is probably more focused than Alex but that isn't saying much.

Yeah good luck with that. With this continued strong, visionary, well-articulated leadership I am sure you shall see strong returns.

Or you can hope Stripe comes back around now that they’ve called PP’s bluff.

Well done. I'm with you on this one. Not buying more because I'm already loaded as fu-k.
