Thread regarding PayPal layoffs

Severance for US and EU employees?

I think for US employees it is 2 months on payroll + 10weeks of pay + 6 months of insurance. Is that correct?

Is the last date Oct 30 or Oct 31? Cuz many people were given Oct 30 as the last date.

On payroll until Oct 30 + Severance (based on how long you have worked there) + AIP bonus + Cobra for 6 months after Oct 30

I would love it if someone would explain the 6 months insurance, because i have seen a document that days 6 months Cobra... is PayPal paying 100% of the premiums for Cobra for 6 months? Otherwise, that is no benefit, Cobra is a regulation when a job ends, and unless things have changed a lot, Cobra premiums are sky high.

For a me a senior CS rep, I was the just short of 8 years. It’s pay to 10/31, 14 weeks severance and pro-rated AIP and 6 months insurance from 10/31.

Technically I’m still employed and getting paid until 10/31.

For the EU it depends on the country you are in.

Is it both 2 months on payroll and 2 months pay or is it an either-or?

are you sure the 2 months payroll and the X weeks of pay add together, or is the latter the replacement for the former?

Depends on tenure, 26 weeks max severance for US

US is usually 8 weeks plus a week for every year worked there. Insurance is 2 months.
