Was anyone else just locked out of their corporate account?

I was able to get back in, but the timing of the lockout is fishy. Perhaps IT is prepping to lock out the future layoff victims and some glitch occurred on their end. I’m BE and fully expecting to get the axe on Monday, by the way.

Are we getting sold?

There was talk last year that Goldman Sachs could buy BNYM - any chance that can still happen? Lately, it feels like we might be being prepared for a sale - only there are no new rumors surrounding a potential buyer. I might be very wrong about... — read more

Any layoffs expected this week?

From what I can see, the earliest date speculated is August 19. Does that mean we are safe at least for this week? On a related note, how sad is it that now we measure our job security in weeks? I still remember a time when job security was a... — read more

JPMCBNYM???

Charlie has forced out some great senior executives who spent their careers at BNYM and replacing many of them with suits from JPMC. I don't think that Jamie Dimon would be happy with losing so many of his "top talent" to a competitor, especially to... — read more

Polite employee abuse is still abuse

Their attempts at sounding civil and being concerned for employee well being only serve to amplify the insult. I suppose it helps them sleep better, but if you’re going to urinate on someone, don’t call it rain. Best of luck to everyone in the... — read more

Do layoffs ever truly stop?

I've noticed that aside from the bigger layoff rounds, we hear about one or two people being laid of on nearly daily bases. Now, it's either somebody trolling (which I highly doubt,) or layoffs literally never stop at BNYM. They are just so small... — read more
