It’s gets worse everyday

This place is nothing like it used to be. It used to show it valued its customer and actually gave some type of recognition to its employees. Everything has been taken away from us and they don’t care who processes the work anymore . Then when... — read more

Why are people working 12+ hour days?

What is wrong with you people? Do you not have a family? Are you that scared that you're willing to let them turn you into a robot that only works and sleeps? What the he-l, folks? You are not doing any favors to anybody other than those leeches on... — read more

So sick of him and others acting like they know what we do and what’s best. Sit in your bubble and stay out of the rest of the business . Maybe it would do better

Hi Can I request to get laid off? How to proceed with such a request? I would like to get severance and unemployment benefit. Please share your thoughts.

Public perception of BNY Mellon as a workplace

I was delighted when I got the job here. I really wanted to work here. But now I think younger people, talented and capable, are not that impressed when they hear BNY Mellon. Any thoughts? It will be very difficult to correct that, of course, if... — read more

Intern postings on LinkedIn - beating a dead horse

How much time and effort does the EC spend humoring the interns for the sole purpose of posting something on LinkedIn. It is sickening to see useless deadweight like Regelman posting photo after photo with groups of interns when he hasn’t spent even... — read more

Is Robin simply Indecisive?

We’ve had so many contradictory messages on RTO, WFH, etc that pretty much all of us have differing understanding. Then there are all of the contradictory emails from other senior leaders and the special carve out rules for some teams and some... — read more

Scoop on upcoming office location closures?

Anyone has a scoop on any planned office location closures? BNY Mellon has been trying to reduce real estate footprint and the cost associated with it through site consolidation and offshoring to India. Some are now calling it the Bank of India!

What about the many sweet WFH deals?

the masses are subjected to browbeating, threats of termination, and 3 going to 4 or 5 days, and permanent WFH leaders are often the ones issuing the RTO mandates and threats. Great morale builder.

An interesting RTO article

Https://finance.yahoo.com/news/now-finding-damaging-results-mandated-095555463.html Too bad TS management doesn't realize.

RTO selectively enforced

Many IT people deemed 'inconvenient to replace' are not coming into the office at all, even if they live nearby, and there are no consequences. Others, deemed more 'replaceable' are being coerced and threatened with HR consequences. So much for... — read more

Tired of correcting other people's mistakes

I really loved my job and that's why I'm still here, but I'm getting tired of correcting other people's mistakes all the time just because BNY Mellon no longer prioritizes hiring really quality people who know how to do their jobs. Does the... — read more

Keating Does it again!

Bonus amounts

I am interested in what determines the amount of bonus one receives. If someone can explain in detail, I would be grateful. I'm wondering what's the logic behind it because I know slackers who got bigger bonuses than good employees.

SUB Changes Coming in 2024

Duration of payments will be based on some sort of seniority assessment. Maximum will be 12 weeks for MDs and above. Don’t know about the lower ranks, but it will be less. Brutal.

Interns are overrated and just a marketing ploy

I think most people will remark about how far this company has gone downhill and how it feels like a more antiquated company compared to its peer in the industry. But every year there are hundreds of posts on LinkedIn celebrating BNYM's next batch... — read more

Reducing management layers

Everyone here says that BNY Mellon should get rid of inefficient layers of management. I agree, but what is the probability that it will ever actually happen? I think chances are minimal.

Bonus structure

Most companies I have been at clearly state the company’s bonus structure for employees. For example level A 10-15% bonus potential Level B 15-20% potential etc. Does anyone know if there is something like that at BNYM? Does a “Director - level M”... — read more

Sub pay
