Demoralizing long term employees

I am glad when someone gets the opportunity to work, earn, progress. However, what is Mellon saying to their longtime and most loyal employees if a new hire with little or no experience is paid as much or almost as much as they are? While... — read more

Struggling to hire?

I'm not sure if BNY Mellon is struggling to hire, or delaying hiring new people while squeezing the existing employees? As long as existing employees do a bunch of work without flaws and complaints, BNYM will be very slow at hiring new people.

Why BNY?

I'm curious to know why people are applying to work at BNY Mellon in this day and age. And I'm not talking about the young fresh out of school graduates with no work experience. I'm talking about the people that have years of experience in the... — read more

BNYM named in Epstein trial

Interesting that a witness from JP Morgan dropped BNYM as part of a $30MM xaction that occurred between Epstein and maxwell. BNYMs part of that wire xfer was for 7.4MM from 2007. Just when you think they can’t get any worse

Tuition Reimbursement Repayment

Has anyone who ever left the company had to repay the tuition back? I left the company in February 2021 due to terrible management and did receive a letter asking for money back. Didn’t repay it and so far nothing else has been sent to me.

At least someone in the financial industry is speaking up. One Citi employee view against the mandatory vaccine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoU3WGsD2pk

I don't have a good experience with smaller banks

Some say that they gained more experience, recognition and reward by working in a smaller bank than here, but my experience is not like that.... Moreover, I worked in a smaller bank where the atmosphere is much more toxic than here. I wouldn't want... — read more

Keeps getting worse

Rumor is all of you who got 'promoted' last year and did not get your raise to go with it, and were told you would be made right in 2022 - it ain't happening...... Also a rumor that this dump may be considered a "gov't contractor" for the sake of... — read more

I'm done with big banks

I used to think working at a big bank meant having job security. I used to think that sacrificing some things for job security (like the much better culture and work environment) was worth it. I was wrong on both counts. I'm now looking for a way out... — read more

Virgin Pulse Passport??

At this point they are seriously trolling us. As if the tracker wasnt bad enough. Do they seriously expect us to "complete a VPP health assessment daily" before entering the office? how frigging annoying.. what more do these people want from us? — read more

Is there a solution other than quitting?

I am so overwhelmed that I can no longer bear it. I have never been a bitter person, but I am under so much stress that I am becoming very frustrated and bitter. Just when I think that it’s finally enough and they won’t try to add more to my... — read more

You get what you give

How a company treats employees determines how well it'll do. If it treats workers like they matter, like they make a difference, they'll make a difference. But if you treat them like they're nothing but numbers to get rid of whenever the need arises... — read more

Giving extra to those working in office after a holiday

Please explain how that is even fair? Why are those in office working after a holiday being considered for more money while the rest of us working from home after a holiday are once again being treated like we don’t matter . So sick of this place and... — read more

Every day shaking my head in disbelief

The irony is that Mellon was not happy with a colleague who was “not good enough” for them only to later replace him with a student from an average university with whom they are somehow still “satisfied”. Rarely does anything still make sense here... — read more

This is more of a you issue

Stop blaming the bank for being miserable at work. You're an adult perfectly capable of making his or her own decisions. If you can't handle working here for whatever reason, find another job and move on. There's no shame in taking a pay cut if it'll... — read more

BNY is fcked

Good luck folks, BNY is dead. Cutting costs is only way to help bottom line. Every other bank has left custody business so it is now a government job without a pension.

More people leaving

We’re losing more people with tenure and experience and upper management isn’t doing anything to keep these people or take off some of the stress and added workload causing them to leave. This is getting out of control now

Class action lawsuit?

Does anyone know of any claw action lawsuits against the bank for laying off the oldest and sickest workers ?

What are the alternatives?

There are many reasons to leave, however, for those who are leaving because of the mandate, I am really interested in what they intend to do and where they will work? I don’t even know where I would go in case I was scared to get a vax.

Bonus eligible if leaving before February
