The reason Citi’s culture is not coherent is…

Because of the way they bring employees on from international offices and promote them quickly. There is no consistent culture or set of norms. Just employee competition and infighting. Eventually the brains drain and Citi is left with the... — read more

Yesterday's layoffs

Does anybody know more about yesterday's layoffs in California? Is that an isolated incident or should the rest of us be worried about the continuation throughout the week?

Taking layoffs way too personal.

Just remember it’s not a reflection on you. It’s purely tactical approach taken by leadership to cover up for poorly thought decisions to save severance costs and hire for solving regulatory issues. Your self worth, potential and talent does not... — read more

Be careful of PIPs during this Redundancy wave

Didn’t have a good mid-year review? Even if you performed average or above, you might have received a bad rating. Well, look no further than the end-of-year review. Citi is being tricky—they might put you on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). No... — read more

Temporarily high stock price will not save us

September layoffs

Is there any truth to September layoff rumors? I've seen it mentioned a few times, but no additional info was provided, so I'm skeptical about it.

Time to leave

Citi stock is on bad path again. Lots of managers, directors looking to jump the ship.

Citi employment only lets you live for the day

Jane is awesome!

Remember all that talk about her amazing leadership capabilities?

Belfast in the chopping block

There is a talk of downsizing Belfast site, and move those jobs to Hungary. Bottom line, if you're in Belfast site, you should be concerned. And if you're in the Hungary site, expect more hires and opportunities!

Hiring

Citi again started hiring people in multiple locations. No more layoffs tension.

Cheap bank and everyone knows it.

When you have “on call”= too cheap to staff adequately. So Citi needs on call to save money to make it. Citi needs to provide small to none on bonus’s or raises to make it. Cheap all the way around except one area, Jane’s pay\bonus\stock payout for... — read more

Very few people who knows real business

The Tech divisions lack "Business" mindset and very few Business Analysts are able to translate clearly. Recently more BA's are hired offshore which adds oil to the fire. They completely lack the skill to transform the org.

Long Silence !!

Since sometime, it's quick and no Townhall or news on any matters other than the SEC fine.
