Can anyone shed light on the culture in Plano? Does the company operate in silos? What does the day to day look like?

Company culture at JPM changes you

I found myself having to do and say things I would have never done or said before for trying to fit in with the right people. If I don't, I know I'll end up stuck with no chance of career advancement. But when I do it, I realize I'm becoming somebody... — read more

JPM added 18k net new employees in past year

I just saw in the quarterly earnings. That's NET employees, after replacing all the departures. My question is, what are these 18K net new people doing that were not backfilling old positions? I don't see any excess headcount anywhere around me... — read more

Q2 earnings

Whatever I read, it's not good news. Some analysts are already making price-target cuts and others are poised to follow. My biggest concern is how this will affect employees if the results are even worse than expected. Could we be looking at another... — read more

Chase was not this bad before

What happened? It was a decent place to work for years and then suddenly it completely changed. Now it feels like it's in a competition for the most toxic work environment and culture, along with managers. I can't help but think it's strange how... — read more

I transferred to Cards, but

all I get to do is collections on defaulted accounts. I had no idea the group was so bad. I need to leave asap.

Please, bring on the layoffs

Did anyone figure out the method of the madness?

Now that layoffs are happening and now that most of us (who were not affected yet) managed to see them first hand, could anybody tell if there was any pattern to the layoffs in terms of what group of employees got cut. Are we talking mostly about... — read more

Moving to different divisions

I’m not affected, or at least not yet. How many people have been moved to different divisions? I believe that in most cases it is a big downgrade, am I wrong?

Now that the layoffs are over

Take a deep breath and relax...until the next week when there'll most likely be more. And then the next week and the week after that. If you think this is done, you are incredibly naive. This is just a start and we'll be seeing much more of the same... — read more
