@nq what was the cut in IDT in US in 2024, there was not much cut, maybe from business IDT there was, but P&T IDT, is there any? Maybe only 5%
IDT in the US and UK were sla-ghtered in the 2024 layoffs. The footprint is much smaller now so hard to believe this rumor about December. Maybe this is one of the ways Shell US will squeeze everyone into buildings E and F at Woodcreek.
If there are cuts in IDT, I would think India would take the brunt of it.
Simply not true - and the random pointing to US and UK also demonstrate this - 2/3rds of IDT are based in BLR, a lot of high grading and reductions have already happened elsewhere so your 40% sounds wrong. In the last change across all IDT, the higher cost locations like US were already impacted >30%. Thinking about skills proximity to our businesses, AI, what work we do from which locations, how automatable, 40% of BLR would seem more plausible
Take a deep breath. Then another. Then think about your question, and the amount of detail that you can expect for somebody to answer it with. The answer should come to you then.
It has happened to other teams multiple times. Including SSW very recently. It’s not unprecedented.

If you don’t know what those are and haven’t heard about any layoffs, then it means it doesn’t apply to you. Enjoy.
We call our IT our shell IDT. SSW is just another job group within IDT that had harsh cuts recently. You may benefit from clicking through an org chart in teams or networking.
What does SSW and IDT stand for ???? Also we here at STCH have not heard of any job cuts, so please stop spreading these rumors. Thanks
