@24f no one wants to be in network since we canned all the good people avoid years ago. Trip was a good old boy disaster- much like Jim Bob.

@25e there are tons of layers in data reporting across the company. Reports and dashboards that nobody uses.

@24f

You don't need 5 layers of middle management. The reorg on HCM has shown very clear redundancies now that commercial and GPD have been merged.

Small scale RIFs will either come or the people who have been signalled as being redundant will leave on their own.

Once each functional area is aligned on systems I wouldn't be surprised with more layoffs.

@dt and dont be surprised if they favor one side over the other in eliminating redundancies.

@c8 yearly reorgs seem like a bad strategy. You lose team momentum and lose expertise. I dont see how you can keep cutting and still have the same output

@ds what you should know is that the recent reorg on the Medcare side, was an attempt to align all employees to functional area. One of the reason for this is that it will be much more obviois to identity the reduncy in roles. With that said, I think layoffs are inevitable.

@c8 this does seem to be the norm. All we can do is show up and do our best job and try to stay under the radar.

I believe we are done with the layoffs from the Cigna acquisition and also the medical cost inflation period. Have you seen the stock market lately? Companies are flush with cash and employees travelled this year from texas to chicago for summer team events and parties

@c8
And our last layoff was coming up on about a year ago wasn’t it?

Expect yearly reorgs and layoffs. This is the norm.
