Thread regarding Morgan Stanley layoffs

Why am I reading about more layoffs?

Is this just lazy journalism and somebody reporting March cuts now or are we going to lose ANOTHER 2,500 employees? Does anybody know what's going on?

On advisor hub now - those of us left were told our jobs are good until the end of the year but not more as they decide new roles for those left standing in service and risk.

Many people laid off in March are still working. Some were given 6 months notice before the actual layoff takes place. WARN is before the final payroll date not necessarily when people are told they are done. Companies due this to game the system but also they make people stay on to transition work. No severance unless you stay until your end date.

@gb NY WARN notices are issued 90 days in advance, not after no? How would a notice 90 days after everyone is already laid off be a notice at all?
