I've made a lot of decisions in my life that I'm not proud of, but starting my career here is easily the worst one. I wish I could go back and tell my younger self to look anywhere else.

Look, venting on anonymous forums like this serves no real purpose beyond a brief burst of emotion.
If you're this bothered by it, interview hard, upskill, and get the he** out of the company. I'm in much the same boat as you — this is my first job out of grad school. Do I regret it? Partly. But I also got useful things out of it.
Anyway, gather up your courage and start building toward a real exit. I'm confident there are better companies and better roles out there.
Bella Ciao.
@OP I'm with you. This is a place where careers end, not where they can flourish. Eventually you get promoted to AD, which simply means you finally become so incompetent that the only thing you can do is schedule meetings and send out emails.
@OP Why would you say that? Elaborate?
