Has anyone hear chatter on timing?

@3qz Oh, that’s easy. It’s whoever stole the last slice of pizza and left me with an empty plate. Justice must be served!
were most of the layoffs based out of the Arlington office?
Sorry your going through this, just hoping most directors like 99% get canned not lower level
@3tx I heard it was 100 and some people who were laid off technically still are working til Friday.
@3tx that makes me scared this was just a first sweep
Is there any sense for the total impact? I only saw the 2U slack drop by 64, which is lower than I actually expected?
@3qj Who is it that you despise so much with this thirst for blood?
This is so refreshing to hear that Global Support was impacted, yummy :)
Does it seem like there will be another round after this? They’ve done it in the past.
@3p2 that's great hopefully last tu-d I worked with was canned deliciously
@3hd yeah was in student success. My captcha code was “5 9” go figure :)
@3p0 My manager is still with us. They lose him, they've lost the game. This is very disheartening. Everyone, please take care.
@3nf Global Support was impacted
@3nw Yeah what about those managers who don’t even know the work their teams are doing or understand the assignment? Always on PTO, surface level responses, yada yada. Another win for the girls club. Enjoy.
@3n8 There are still a bunch of great people left doing as much as they can to hold things together but it’s rough out here. Managers trying to manage multiple programs at multiple universities, SSA supporting students across multiple programs and schools, etc. Incompetent folks can’t handle all of that.
What departments or roles were impacted?
@3n9 my biggest concern! I hope they call it so whoever is left will have something.
Anyone know what the settlement offer is?
Writing is on the wall that the company won’t survive, there won’t be severance next time. Take a pay cut and get out.
I got the email! This company is officially finished. They kept all the incompetent folks and got rid of all their best employees already. I bet Adam Drudge still has his job.
@3n3 Yep. A simple email asking to meet with HR and your manager.
Has anyone received an email yet?
It appears that the meetings have been scheduled, all I can see before 11 AM eastern. Good luck everybody.
@3jw around 7 a.m. est.
Does anyone know when the "15 minute meetings" from HR tend to roll out?
@3hd what made it concentrated last time? Since they won’t ever fully share the impacts I’m never sure
For anyone else who keeps refreshing this page hoping someone has posted some new bit of information (judging by the views it’s more than just me). I know there’s really nothing anyone can say that makes the uncertainty about tomorrow any easier. Just wanted to say good luck to everyone waiting to find out. Whatever happens tomorrow doesn’t erase the work you’ve done here or what you’re capable of doing next.
Hoping for the best for all of us.
@3h2 I honestly think it’s across the board. It won’t be concentrated like last time.
Any ideas which departments?
@3dv makes sense it would be Wednesday since a lot of program deadlines are tuesdays so they gotta get as much out of us as possible
@OP HR calendars are blocked off Wednesday so I think Wednesday is the day
Okay, what’s the deal?
@34v How are you hearing this?
HEARING BIG WEEK FOR HR AND YANKS
We own this space bru
I’m assuming tomorrow or next Tuesday. Would prefer to just know tomorrow though.
I feel like it’s going to be before the planned ACC and office hours the week of 8/17. So likely before 8/14.
Anyone have a closer timeline than just "the next few weeks?" Working day in and day out in this uncertainty is TERRIBLE
