Thread regarding 3M layoffs

The whole stock market is up and so is 3M. Share buybacks have also played a big role. IG bought back a ton of shares when price was > $200. He also raised dividend by 25 % and 30% in quick succession.

When share market eventually tanks, probably sometime soon this year, it will be interesting to see where we stand.

m3 bought and retired over 36 million shares so price will go up, over the next 12 months looking to a 210 max price so maybe good time to buy,

Probably look up SEC and see which executives are offloading their shares.

Dropping today, what did BB and his team do to cause this?

Probably bump up the share price in time for his mandatory retirement to cash out. Its going to be a repeat of Inge time and exit strategy.

Easy to boast about a rising share price when you’ve spent billions buying back your own stock. Let’s not pretend it’s purely down to exceptional business performance.

@c6 artificial inflated Q2 demand due to price actions. Plants are suffering from the drop in Q3 volumes.

Just a rotation from tech to blue chips. Unfortunately for those who've bought MMM shares, they don't realize Billy's juiced the results with price increases while volume is down YoY. The growth story is as fake as his slicked brown hair.

@OP Can only laugh at the bootlickers. Glad the investors are cashing in while workers get 1-2% raises, decreased benefits, neutered everyday wins, and all time low morale.

@a1 means nothing when 2 out of the 3 still have nearly 50,000 shares each. I’m sure it’s spare change to them. Whilst the rest of us can only manage to buy a couple of coffees with our pay rise.
