Sh*tty Managers

Im curious why leadership/ HR has not figured out that protecting the people that charge indirect labor (middle management) and treating your workforce like cr-p to the point they resign doesn't make you more money.. your DL money makers are quitting but your heads are so far up your own as*es you cant see this circlej--kis driving the company into the ground.

Another coworker just got a job offer this week and will give two weeks notice next Monday. Sh*tty managers will be panicked if they haven’t already been. Losing 50% of the team in two months is such a miracle!

@14x With a job offer of 18% more base pay, 30k sign-on bonus and a matching 4-week PTO, I wish they could fire me so that I could jump off the sinking ship sooner.

@kc l'm surprised you didn't get fired for giving notice! That happened to a couple of colleagues of mine in Clifton. He gave two weeks notice on a Monday and was walked out the next day by security. His manager quipped: " If he doesn't want to be on my team, I don't want him here another day! That goes for the rest of you too!"
Nice warm fuzzy.

The reason Clifton is such an abysmal place is because of the leadership. Not so much the corporate leadership, but the utterly useless local leadership at that location. If they really want to stop the exodus, they need to get rid of every single manager and every single supervisor. No matter how long they've been there, or no matter where they came from, they are all garbage. Mainly because most of them were never qualified to get the job in the first place.

@va I am taking a day off too. Don’t want to be part of the “show”. Hopefully Sam Mehta reads some of these posts and questions “managers “ why so many people are quitting?

@t6 I'm taking the day off. I'll be calling in sick in the morning. I'll even get a televisit with my doc and tell him I feel cr-ppy. It's worth the copay.

@OP Sam Mehta is visiting Clifton tomorrow. All managers are busy with preparing to impress him. What a pathetic attempt to cover up a lie and hide the truth!

@pz those cowards will stay forever because they are incapable of finding any other jobs.

@g9 I remember that happening.
"Oh I've got COVID I need 2 weeks off...uh oh my wife has it now...2 more weeks...umm she's better but now I have the new strain...2 more weeks....etc . etc.."
And quite a few of those feckless cowards are still there in Clifton.

@gw Those managers stay because they are not able to find any jobs at any other companies. They really know nothing.

@dm when the pandemic kept our management hiding in their bedrooms, we did the work. We were in time, under budget and free of defects. I'm still proud of myself and my colleagues for what we did. Even though we've all moved on, memories don't lie.
This company's management team sux ballz.

  • Clifton.

Well I one certain program that i' aware of (begins with "F" and ends with "I") , Middle management are basically one in the same. The mangers definitely abuse that fact to it's full extent. They truly believe the can say whatever the fu-k they want to the actual talent and they are untouchable. They are in serious delusion. This isn't even considering how much corpocuck horsesh-t comes out of their fat fu--ing mouths on a constant basis. It would actually be a better working experience with no management, things would still get done and we would probably be ahead of a schedule on most projects.

@OP In every meeting there are more than five managers sitting there who make zero technical contributions. They go to every meeting to collect charge numbers, but they don’t even understand the problems being discussed. What a ridiculous place. I am talking about Clifton.

@OP The "middle" management people come and go, and only care about this most recent stepping stone in their careers. The front line supervisors are a joke as well. Most of them came from the ranks of touch labor and never attended any higher education (unless you count the phony entries in their resumes and their linkedin account.)
They took advantage of new leadership and bullsh-ted their way into jobs. Thus being equally unqualified. The direct touch labor people are the only elements of the company left with any talent. They are being mistreated by an inexperienced and unaware middle management while being abused by lower management wannabes.
