Thread regarding Siemens layoffs

Not Impressed

Unfortunately, I did not choose to work at Siemens- Siemens acquired the company I worked for. Since the acquisition, I’ve found the overall environment incredibly difficult. There is very little genuine collaboration, and many interactions feel unnecessarily abrasive or outright rude. The overall energy often feels adversarial rather than like people are working toward the same goals.
The organizational silos seem to reinforce a culture of protecting individual realms instead of collaborating across teams.
This has been the most frustrating company environment I’ve experienced, and I've worked at multiple big tech companies. It is not an organization I would personally consider a 'best place to work'.

@OP Let me guess, you are coming from Altair? Yeah the culture in Siemens is pathetic, especially at the FT, DI, SI levels. The lack of organization makes people to compete against each other to show that they exist. As you say, the whole energy is going into the internal fight for survive instead of building together a product for customers. Not even mentioning that with the international spread, even within the same group, represented countries are fighting against each other. You could even draw a matrix of who is fighting who in vertical and horizontal directions....
