So my supervisor posted something in our teams chat……definitely a script but no one in our department was getting laid off. However im seeing some chatter on fb and LinkedIn that there’s potentially more layoffs to come? Anyone else know anything or is this just bs?

@cr vendors from India have been used here since they bought WellCare. This was one of the many bad things they brought in with them. This is why quality is so bad, they make so many errors but Centene doesn’t care as they are super cheap and get paid like 23 cents per task.
@cz Yes, definately cheaper to outsource, overseas! Pennies to the dollar. And if you haven't heard yet, CTS has accepted Centene's offer of a close to 1 million $ contract. I can't say they have a great accuracy level, but they are also getting into the AI world. We'll see how it goes!
@d0 India..hmm. Makes sense for saving money, not sure what that will do to quality but...in the end money is priority for the company
@cz its definitely cheaper and no I believe well we were told India is where the offshore vendors were through NTT Data company so I am sure more to come.
I'm seeing alot about outsourcing, is that because it is cheaper to outsource the work versus having staff on hand? Is this outsourcing to companies outside of the U.S.?
My prior team was training offshore vendors and we had no idea until one day they were all added to the schedule. That could be still going on for different teams. This just didn’t start in June, this has been in the works for who knows how long! Just because we don’t hear about offshore vendors being trained doesn’t mean it’s not happening because I can bet it is. We were told in our last town hall that they will backfill positions with vendors.
Why do so many people have to an a**hole with their response? This person is just trying to find the most accurate information! Their sup said they were safe with no other information about future layoffs coming but now all of a sudden people have information on more? Who told you layoffs were coming, share the source. Is there an article? Did someone from corporate say something
They’ve already told you there will be more layoffs. Remember when they pushed all in on AI? Well most of the current layoffs are right sizing due to membership losses. The AI waves haven’t really hit yet. Get used to regular waves of layoffs or hit the road. Those are the options.
@b0 thank you! I was wondering if anyone else made that connection other than me.
Let’s use the information we have received from ppl here. The VSPers who had to basically rate their desired staggered dates were told Sept 4 2026, Dec 11,2026, March 2027, Aug 2027 or Nov 2027… if we see the writing on the wall or just plain right in front of us, this is literally also their Layoff schedule. If we try to look at this historically, last big lay off before this was announced in Oct with last day 12/8 so this means next layoff should be sometime in Oct or early nov with last day 12/11…. Next for Feb notification with last day March 2027 and you see where this is going…. Brace yourselves, this was just the beginning of mission simplify
@OP On another post on this site, a current PL said that there will be more lay-offs probably around Nov/Dec.
@a3 *stragglers, sorry
Yes. It has been confirmed the lay offs will continue into 2027. They will be outsourcing most every department. Vsp stranglers will be left to train and fill in gaps until their exit date to ensure smooth transition to cognizant
I wouldn’t doubt it; supposedly my Team was safe but work has been steadily declining.. I took the VSP to avoid getting cut later on cause more will be coming.
