Uniti is not ACQUIRING anyone with $10B in debt, $800M/year interest expense and junk level credit rating. They might be acquired or finesse some type of merger of equals at best.
Fidium has 1K employees. Windstream was 10x the size. Fidium is where careers go to die.....
@OP I am not sure how acquiring such an insignificant player in the industry would make sense for Uniti?
@OP Interesting rumor. Buying Fidium might improve Uniti's portfolio and help position itself to be acquired by end of 2027, early 2028.

Fidium isn't a small player. It's Consolidated Communications, renamed, and are a similar size to Windstream
Fidium is a small player. IMHO Uniti would need a much larger suitor to absorb the massive debt load that is su-king up all its cash flow in interest payments.
