We haven't had a single big layoff in a while. Now it's more of a rolling thing: trim this team one week, cancel that project the next, slice another department the following month. If you heard about the latest cuts and were surprised, then you haven't been paying attention.

That’s because it’s super quiet layoffs and since folks are allowed to work from home it’s hard to tell who’s out. Check for status of “unknown”.

They’re for sure trying to be more sneaky about cuts as if it’s not already abundantly obvious to anyone who isn’t living under a rock…
Big one should be in Sept right before EC and Comp season. Hope they cut big in HR and Finance for putting employees through this.
