The local folks are about to start Engineering projects, managing them and handling the billing when all is said and done. If you thought you were backlogged before, get ready! Just heard about it in Denver.

slb
Schlumberger figured out modern well logging. Nearly a century later, I have to deal with sh---y OSDU standards and .ZGY files pushed by Indian project managers with no understanding of what we’ve actually been doing. Completely failing company... Also, no one likes SLB. Stop pushing your offshore Indian storage architecture on everyone.
Project unity celebration
Just seen there was a celebration of project unity in the UK with Shannon Bell. I am not sure this migration could have been anymore of a sh-t show. I previously spent 30% of my week chasing approvals (that in 4 years I have never not had one approved or declined for my error). I now spend 95% of my week on approvals, but yeah let's celebrate the sh-t show, senior people should lose their jobs for this incompetence.
Do We Still Need Project Managers at HCSC?
Why does HCSC still maintain project manager roles? Beyond following up with people, what value do they actually add and why don’t they seem to be held accountable when projects fail? Shouldn’t these positions be considered redundant with us being agile ?
Project Aeg***
We got a new project which need to finish it asap.
The agenda is document all the manual /automation critical functions we perform during regression.
Is this the plan to reduce the resource anytime ?
Terminated, but still regularly consulted
I was terminated in March last as a result of self protection political games from my manager. Naturally this also terminated all the knowledge of a significant project I managed for over 3 years.
Since then, I still get regular calls or texts asking me for help, information or assistance. Despite my message to VP and several directors asking them to refrain from this pointing out I am no longer responsible for filling their self created knowledge gap; it continues on regular basis.
Conclusions:
Cummins management is delusional.
Cummins has a knowledge problem.
Cummins doesn't give a damn about certain genders and prioritizes dei over project success.
Layoffs are ongoing
We haven't had a single big layoff in a while. Now it's more of a rolling thing: trim this team one week, cancel that project the next, slice another department the following month. If you heard about the latest cuts and were surprised, then you haven't been paying attention.
Project Skittles
In the recent Town Hall meeting, someone brought up what is Project Skittles and caught management off guard. Just wondering if anyone heard of this Project.
Tahoe's Sunnyside Restaurant unveils $5 million overhaul following 47 layoffs

Direct Labor metrics return!
Direct charge causes a 50% loss of productivity for anyone what works more than one project. This is an early sign of cash flow issues
Why the early employee ratings?
There's a wave 2 WFR aligned for October. There is also a McKinsey run project ongoing ...And employee F26 ratings have been moved up to July. What's OpenText up to?
Projects shelved, Contractors terminated.
Last week, several projects were shelved. Several contractors were terminated/laid off.
Never seen such a velocity with which FIS is doing cost cutting.
Upcoming August lay off is "mother of all layoffs".
Get ready.
Project Fuji
I learnt that project Fuji is real thing a and 14000 jobs impacted..any one has any insight on board area and other details?
Epic Opinions
For those involved with the project, share your thoughts.
AgentOS progress
how is this project really going? been hearing a lot of buzz inside and outside of this company.
people don’t seem give a lot of credit here.
Project Autumn?
Anyone here anoutband/or can comment on what is being called Project Autumn?
Obligation after layoff
Are you obliged to do handover after layoff tomorrow? I do not think I want to turn on my machine after that.
I am working on a project that is going live in next 2 weeks. We have some critical issues going on right now.
Project Fuji / Project Mongoose
Just a general thread.
TIS modernization
Any info. out there on TIS modernization projects? Some are under review or shortly going on hold, what does that mean for the future direction of TIS?
Don't Believe the Hype
This extension isn't for you, this mass exodus just didn't fit their timeline. My guess is there will be a lot of rah-rah bullsh-t next week, and guilt tripping.
Do what's best for you, not the shareholders. Project Simplify isn't over, they just want you to forget about it right now.
Worst places to be for career and best
I will start
Upstream: Worst to be part of big BU. Lot of work and no reward
Best: Small BU, same distribution and generally worse people. Even better Uncon support groups. Do nothing but critic others work - easy for any Exxon people
GP - Avoid Dev Planning. Go for any Cat 4 or lower projects.
Last remote let go
Finished a major project and they let the last remote guy go today.
How often does this happen?
I was selected for a in house project to replace a old computer system. Being old we had low on parts, also the reliability was very low. If I’m going to do this right why not find out where the bottlenecks are and get a wish list and try to do my best.
When the system was ready for testing I set it up next to the system that was on line and testing can be done. Some people were excited and others started claiming I was planning on taking peoples jobs.
Needless to say the rumors got started. The system did go on line and worked well.
Hey SP, real estate, Ops, and RF folks in CARTN, how is work these days? I ask here anonymously
because openly talking about the sh-t show I am experiencing to anyone here puts my job at risk. Communication between the groups is not as good as it was before Nov 2025. Project progress has slowed, keeping up with changes in direction is ridiculous. and trying to keep quality in the contractors' work is, well, impossible (too much to oversee). Leadership should not have wiped out so many good people in that last big layoff. This is my experience. Is it just me, or are others in this market also at their limit?
What is the overall sentiment about CE1?
Do we think the project will be completed on schedule, or is it heading toward another FNV4 situation?
Project Ocean
What a blunder... Sometimes I feel that half of the pain we are going through is due to this horrible dud. It's a dark gift that keeps on giving as we bleed even more money trying to fix things.
Project Keystone - Accenture’s Blunder
How does Accenture have 350 people and unable to deliver Project Keystone? Why isnt anyone getting penalized for this sh*tshow? Who is the sponsor for Accenture?
Accenture is terrible and with GCC effort - i am sure they are selling their souls and su-king Jose’s and Kevin A’s lollipop
Engine is a joke
I love how my project team is in Houston India Manila and BA. How the F are we supposed to accomplish anything.
Executive incompetence (or incontinence) is truly the root cause of all of this.
Executive incompetence (or incontinence) is truly the root cause of all of this.
Gross mismanagement of spiking costs for flash ki-led margins, awful roll out of UCPQ, project ocean was a disaster that is still the gift that keeps on giving having to pay a 3rd party to fix it.
Looks like some project cancellations today
Seagate sold their ASIC team to Broadcom. I wonder if WD will do the same ? I'm aware of a couple of projects being completely mothballed at WD today.
Kaskida Project. A world class boondoggle?
Hearing some great intel and insights that Kaskida is being challenged by Meg for potentially not meeting economic and technical hurdles…
Please share your insights on this complex project that was rammed into FID by Murray’s go team…What does Elliot Management think about their capital6 deployed and possibly destroyed? When the the technical class challenges sanctioning
Anyone heard or project farmer
What does anyone know about what is supposed to change State Farm? Apparently it's a big deal.
UNCON
Where bad ideas go to become and AFE and a pds that was done 3 yrs ago and people who should never ever get promoted. What say you?!
Lions and tigers and bears oh my
Alright… what is “Project Panda” and why is it suddenly the worst-kept secret?
I genuinely feel bad for those who are soon forced to use a half broken tool
The SUPER TOP SECRET ULTRA SECRET NDA project that everyone knows about called Maverick is getting close to it's official "roll out" live day and it's so far from ready that it's comical.
Sadly, many of you - specifically sales, ISG/CSG - are going to have the misfortune of "testing" it out. I know nothing about what these new tools are, what they are replacing (apparently DOMS is being "replaced" but that's been said for the last 20 years LOL) but I will say that you are all in for a horrible time when it goes live.
I think the deadline/go live date is mid May and so much of it is STILL being tested right now. Keep in mind the OG "go live date" was in February...
Godspeed my friends.
Is anybody else getting their projects taken midway?
If not, how sc--wed am I?
