CBN Reduces Staff Amid Strategic Realignment
The Christian Broadcasting Network has announced workforce reductions affecting approximately 8.4% of its U.S. employees. This decision stems from organizational changes and a need to focus resources on future growth. The media and fundraising landscape has shifted, prompting CBN to streamline operations. These changes are part of a broader strategy to reallocate resources effectively. The organization stated it remains committed to its mission and donor stewardship.

Misrepresentation of Contributions to the Payroll Modernization Program Concerns Regarding Recognition and Project Ownership in the PAYMOD
The Walmart Payroll Modernization initiative began in 2018 and is currently advancing with its implementation across the U.S. workforce. Recently, new employees have started to be incorporated into the SAP payroll system, which was expected to be operational in 2023. However, David Glick and Sushanta Das, with the assistance of Akhil Gupta and Matthew Sowders, have hindered the business go-live for their personal gain following the technical launch. They are fully cognizant of their lack of contribution to this project. As a result, they created a Payroll integration engine platform, which is essentially another ETL tool, to take credit for the payroll program's business rollouts after three years. Presently, every Amazon leader, including Rao Grandhi, who has transitioned to Walmart and is participating in this payroll modernization effort, is recounting their success stories, even regarding minor population launches, as if they have played a crucial role in the program's achievements, seeking acknowledgment without any genuine contribution.
This situation is indeed disheartening and represents a misallocation of time and resources over the past three years.
Current head count
Anyone know a current headcount or how to find this information?
BAE Extention
Interesting wasn’t expecting that. Indications were BAE insourcing a lot of resource at the moment
RTO has been nonsense from the very beginning
Leadership stays busy, just with all the wrong things. Great way to use resources efficiently, right? It'd be hilarious if it weren't crushing us in the process.
Nonsense Projects
We had a coffee chat with the director of our department, and they mentioned that most of the LCS projects are likely to be either discontinued or significantly scaled down. At the same time, there’s another initiative emerging informally around DAC using Amines. The person leading this has no knowledge of fundamentals. Another waste of resources.
The earth's resources are limited.
The earth's resources are limited.
So. nothing is going to grow forever.
So, revenues/profits of no company is going to grow forever.
So, it is better to do profit booking in the stock market.
Making do with less resources
Laying off staff and trying to make do with less resources…
New staff who don’t know much about the job and the company…
Tenured associates with the role and company knowledge gone…
News flash T Rowe, what do you think is going to happen? Who is going to do the work? Who knows how to do the work?
Stored Locomotives
Any one have the scoop on why there are hundreds and hundreds of locomotives stored at Donkey Creek Wyoming and Guernsey Wyoming? Why don't they refurbish them, sell them off to another country's railroad, or scrap them out? Seems like the biggest waste i've ever seen!
