Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Kid in college - FASFA

Anyone know what we need from Centene to submit to our kids' college to redo the FASFA? Just before the layoffs I paid my daughter's tuition in full and that was all my savings. Guessing you can't get that back.

Call financial aid. I informed them and provided proof of my lay-off with CNC, and they adjusted the aud. She was able to get more Pell Grant and school scholarship money

Contact the school to report financial charges for 2026 school year. When FAFSA opens in October for 2027 be sure you report less income or your student is independent (you will NOT be claiming on your taxes for 26/27)

@OP I would contact the school and see if they can refund the payment in leu of a loan or whatever route you go. Given your circumstances, I would think they would work with you.

@OP I would say your pay statements. Call the Financial aid dept at school. I am so very sorry. I was cut too.
