I was let go last September and at least had a Zoom call, unlike the March mass e-mail RIF. Now that Oracle has a taste for e-mail RIF I can't imagine they go back to hundreds or thousands of zoom calls. Either way, if you are on the list your computer access will be disabled almost immediately after notification. Get your personal documents off of your work computer while you can, and ask for the personal contact information for people you want to keep in contact with. You won't have a chance later on. When Oracle decides they are done with you, you are done in an instant.

Curiously, my laptop never bricked. It didn't matter, as I never kept anything personal on it. Of course my VPN and email accounts were frozen.
@a1 the trick is to save a file to OneDrive, then use the Outlook smartphone app to download it. Very useful for getting payslips, tax documents, etc ahead of time.
Watch out for personal files getting encrypted. Do not overwrite any previous backup before testing it.
For contacts, have a farewell email with To/Bcc as needed, copied to your personal email, and ready to go.
I simply disabled all network connections on my work laptop and was able to download any/all files that were on there. Once I was done with that, I powered it off, made sure it would be of any value for anyone ever again (f*** you, Oracle) and waited for the box to show up.
I was one of the thousands in March that recieved the email. Honestly it was a relief. No awkward phone call with my bosses boss. No waiting for a “check-in” mid-morning. Had my alarm set for 5:50am per the rumors. Checked my phone and the email was there. It felt like a welcome mercy ki-l. I had checked out long before the March RIF. Oracle was and still is a toxic cesspool.
The month leading up to the RIF I saved all of my CEU and several pay stubs along with any other personal stuff and forwarded to my personal email. I also took photos with my personal phone of my computer screen of information I thought might be useful during a job hunt.

@OP only US employees were terminated via email. Impactd Canadian employees were pulled into a meeting at 1pm on Monday.
US employees received their notifications via email at 6 am on Tuesday
@a1 I had some time, there were some command line cheat sheets I wanted to save, but was on the phone with friends - a couple of friends checked in on me the week before to make sure I was still there. I had to call them and let them know, then talked to the two people in my group that were let go with me. I was in the process of writing a "so long and thanks for all the fish" email to our call center's chat email list when the computer went down. That's when I realized I lost those cheat sheets. Was so p!ssed at myself but oh well.
I did hear some people's computers were locked down in the middle of their "seeya" zoom and could't even finish the call, so... If there's anything on the computer you want to save and you're still there, do it now.
You can email Outlook contacts vCards to a personal throw-a-way email address.
You can take photos on your personal phone of work screens (a manual screenshot!)
You can GASP use good ol' trusty pen and paper to physically write down whatever you need from that what you're seeing on screens.
