Director and AVP just left the company for data center start up. Everyone is scrambling.

Hilarious, and very true sadly. They ticked off a lot of key workers in that org and in supporting orgs the past couple years they ran it. Still a very tough job to have to do and it really takes a special kind of person to do it. Though I get the reasons, can’t say I agreed with their methods often.
Starlink, ASTS, and eventually Amazon, may not initially make the NDR organization obsolete, but they will make it smaller and less important

You clearly don’t know who they are or what they did. The fact that you liked your own comment that many times is hilarious.
I knew them. They both bled blue and were on just about every around the globe when a disaster happened. Both with pensions and decades of service. Both big bosses left right before a major hurricane. I’m sure it was a really good offer to make them bounce. The problem with working disasters is, it’s not next person up and anyone can do that job. You have to be extremely good at managing chaos to the likes of which most people cannot. There isn’t a lot of room for errors or that costs the company big $. Those aren’t positions that are easy to replace by far. It really takes a special kind of person to work the million hours a week, be gone from home all the time, and be able to deal with all that.
