I don’t see anything listed. Do they skirt around this requirement? Of might this be an indication that tomorrow there will not be layoffs?

To be clear, they DO file WARN in CA, it’s just that 1) WARN is not realtime and 2) it is required to be given a 60 day notice to the state but minimum severance for US exempt employees is 10 weeks so they are effectively paying off that notice period rather than having you work for 2 months with the knowledge your time is up.

@a2 WARN is required in NY state so I am wondering how they’d get around it…

I seen a comment elsewhere that said they can choose not to file WARN and instead pay a fee/enhanxe layoff package, but unsure how true it is
its not required everywhere in the USA
