Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Water it down, we need the money!

https://www.reuters.com/legal/transactional/intel-launches-15-billion-share-sale-turnaround-rally-lifts-stock-2026-08-10/

Intel said on Monday it was planning to raise $15 billion through a share sale, as it looks to fund the costly build-out of its chip contract manufacturing business by cashing in on a stock surge ‌fueled by its turnaround efforts.

Sell now and buy back later!

Intel will use investors’ money from stock and waste all into the water drain. It is a greedy crook.

All those who still participate in ESPP: they gotcha!! Lololol

Don’t loan Intel your money to buy its own stock unless it brings back the look-back feature. They’re just setting you up for more of the same.

@e6 E*TRADE is used for Intel stocks right? Where is it written in the Intel handbook that folks can’t access their stocks account at work?

@c3 I believe the underlying concern is that they may be using company resources, infrastructure, and paid work time to engage in personal day trading through platforms such as E*TRADE or thinkorswim. If that is indeed the allegation, a routine IT audit of company-issued devices, network activity, and browsing records should be sufficient to establish whether such activity is occurring.

Intel raised $20, as the offering was oversubscribed.

If OP can't see what's coming, that's on him.

Too bad, so sad.

@bg I still don't understand the DefMet jokes and at this point I'm too scared to ask!

I mean I know what the DefMet team does, but why are they such a recurring joke on this board?

@a3
well it's a brilliant move since the "buy-back" shares were at a lower price compared to the current share price where the new shares will be sold at..
I think it's shady as well but su-kers will soak up the shares right?
