My team has been reduced by 30% in the last year while Oracle GPT has not made us 30% more efficient. The people let go in the last layoff had been at Oracle a long time which has made things harder slower too. My job has turned into a death by meeting multitasking he-l.

I can guess you are not at Oracle at all.
It's Codex with ChatGPT models, and it didn't make our dev teams 30% more efficient, it made us 5x+ more efficient. If you legit cannot get 30% improvement using Codex, your whole team deserves to be laid off, but it irrelevant, because you are just lying.

OP, you must be a slow learner. If 30% of your team can disappear your team's work isn't considered critical. Who says you won't be in this round of cuts? You should have started looking right after your team lost 30% in the last round you might have found something by now.

Similar thing happened to me and my team. Two members of my team were cut. One team member is reconsidering their career choice. Another was a freshy from college with 2 years experiences on our team. They both haven't found jobs since the last layoff and I'm super pi---d about that. My college freshy teammate supports his entire family. My job has also turned into this AI babysitter he-l. I've got at least three tasks (with who knows how many subagents) running constantly. And you would think that is awesome, but the issue is I have to review all of that AI generated slop after waiting >1-2hrs! So it doesn't make anything faster if we want quality and its really annoying. I read 20x as much as I did just writing the code myself. I really hate the way software development has changed with agentic development.
We don’t need to cover for RIFed people. Don’t get away. Let this company learn what happens.
