I’m honestly tired of the waiting game. If you’re going to do layoffs just do it already. They already know who is going to be let go so just do it. The anxiety of waiting and wondering is getting so exhausting. In my area WFH jobs are non existent except for Centene. I have put my resume out there and applied for over 50 jobs already in case I get cut and was declined from most or never received a response. I’ve been with this company for almost four years now and have made it through other layoffs but they didn’t feel as extreme as this one.
I honestly just want answers or some type of update. The job market is awful right now and this is going to hurt a lot of people who live in smaller towns with not many options for employment. I truly hope I make it through these cuts but I’m mentally preparing myself to be let go. I’m still working just as hard every day but the anxiety is causing me to be physically sick. Sorry just needed to vent.

@a4 I’ve heard the same. Why would they not RIF who they are going to then restructure? Do they want to restructure twice? They have to already know who will be cut by now. Why else would they have taken three weeks for VSPs? The mental gymnastics is exhausting.
Org changes for many are likely next week. Unsure if involuntary RIFs will be at the same time.
Doesn’t matter how many applied for or were approved for the VSP, the company was never going to “not” take the opportunity to reduce headcount.

Why not just go elsewhere? Do you think Centene is the only company doing layoffs? Check other boards on this website. I’m not trying to make you feel bad or uneasy but look around. It’s called being an adult. Bring value so you’re not one of those let go.
I didn’t take VSP and I am not worried about being let go.
