Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

He-l on Earth

He-l would be better than working for this boomer dinosaur company compromised by contractor corruption and Israel.

Come in the office 5 days a week to talk to Indians on teams, so Stankey makes more money when . Soul su-king.

With 2.1 billion people globally (roughly 1 in 4) lack access to safely managed drinking water, with around 703 million lacking even basic drinking water services, referencing a place that pays you to buy a new iPhone every year and keeping you fed at 275lbs in your new sweat pants, as “he-l on earth” feels a little hyperbolic.

@aj It feels like a happy accident. They’re clueless and hapless, but it plays into their overall goal of driving people out, so they believe it’s effective leadership on their part.

Similarly, we all suffer and it feels like pointed malice, when it’s actually just neglect and knee-je-k reactive decision making

@at and yet you continually post this same old tired drivel, your'e either a former disgruntled employee that was let go for some COBC violation, I'm thinking maybe that guy from the east coast?, work for tmo or vz, or are craft/union who doesn't understand the other corporate/management side of the business,

@at the job market is sh-t you imbecile. You would understand if you weren’t already employed full time su-king Stankey’s ch--e on this website all day.

We stay for now because we need income to live.

You stay because your wife and kids fu--ing hate you and won’t let you come home.

@a9 when the only consistency is inconsistency, you have to wonder if this is by design (aka psyop) or just another example of clueless leadership (aka par for the course)

“ If the Job market and economy weren’t sh-t, I’d quit today.“

This right here is the only thing keeping this place going. The economy is starting to pivot and jobs are starting to open up. When that happens to a substantial degree this place is going to bleed talent like never before. They are going to have to start hiring people instead of cutting just to keep the lights on. That is going to cost the company substantially more money to do. In 3-5 years or less most of the people you are sitting next to will be gone. Either they will have finally retired, been laid off or left for a better job. All that institutional and systems knowledge gone with them. Att better start focusing on identifying people they can’t afford to lose and work on retaining them (and not solely focus on TDPs that aren’t going to stay anyways). Especially the non-pension people that they need to keep around. Cutting more people is something they really can’t afford to do right now. That ship has sailed.

The people who retired or were laid off in the earlier phases of this stupid RTO effort don’t realize how lucky they were. This place feels like a psychological test to see so how many nonsensical rules people will follow while being made increasingly more miserable.

If the Job market and economy weren’t sh-t, I’d quit today.
