Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Finally, I got my PIP today

Finally, I got my first PIP today. Even that I was doing lot of work and in my opinion I was top performer finally my manager decided that I deserved a PIP... Crazy company... I guess, all the posts saying RAs in September are gonna be true...

@e6 sorry man that su-ks. Document everything and save it. Like e5+1m0wkvn9n said you might be able to bring up a case of fraud against your manager

@e1 Exactly. They’re playing a dangerous game, hoping you won’t call their bluff and push back. But in many cases, if you have documentation showing that you were performing well just a year earlier, it becomes a much easier case to make. From there, you can turn the tables on them by raising potential violations of business ethics and misuse of company policies. What they’re doing and how they are using a PIP as a legal cover for for layoffs is unethical and is literally fraudulent. They are fabrication and falsifying business documents and records

PIP is not the same as RA .. pip needs poor performance documentation to back up the actions as it can be legally challenged. you play the same game they are playing with you

When I started at this company years ago, PIPs were rare. They were reserved for people who actually struggled. Now Arvind and his merry band of sh1t bags hand them out like candy. I hope their souls all rot in the darkest pit of the abyss.

You are not losing much leaving IBM.

Everyone I know that left (RA and PIP) were better off with more pay and brighter future.

Stop working for IBM right away, enjoy some down time and start preparing for next.

@ac they know. But they are ok with it as long as it benefits their own personal self interests. Hopefully one day karma knocks on their door

I hope the managers who issue these PIPs can look at themselves in the mirror and realize how low they have become.
