I recently finished a second round interview, but I'm also aware of the ongoing layoffs and such. Thoughts?

Don't do it. I know LTSS CCs and CMs who were laid off involuntarily even though the layoffs led to severe shortstaffing on their teams. You may be essential but it doesn't mean that you or your team will be valued by leadership. I have been an LTSS CM for years and have only seen things go downhill over time. My mental health and physical health are in the gutter right now. Was given a VSP severance date of 11/27 but I can't see myself making it that long and it's not worth being paid an undisclosed amount of money just to suffer for another 15 months of my life when time is something that you can't get back. There are other areas of healthcare where you can be a CC or CM and still be and feel valued. Unfortunately this is not one one of those places.
@ar The pay when I was hired was 85,000'ish. It varies with experience. Your service district area determines your caseload. There is A LOT of documentation, so if that's not your thing, you won't like this job. You also need to be comfortable going into strangers' homes. I have a great PL, which makes a big difference.

@bs if you have been here 15 years you have survived many layoffs. You WERE valued and appreciated. But good luck at your next venture. Don’t try to come back when the VSP money runs out
@OP I am sure the opinions will vary but this would be a hard pass. I am here 15 years and took the VSP. We are not valued employees and I no longer recognize the company I was so proud to be part of. Best of Luck.
@ae What was your hourly rate, and was all the work you were assigned worth the pay?
I am an LTSS Coordinator. No one was laid off on our teams. I applied for VSP and have an exit date of 11/2027. Happy to answer any questions you have.
If you are desperate and need the money, take it. In my experience, I have taken the first job available while unemployed, and they all have been crazy anyway. In two cases, my managers actually proved this point by having a public meltdown that led to their firing.
