Since I haven’t had a raise in 3 years this will be the first time I don’t donate in almost 20 years. Executives can pick up the slack as their compensation increases are significant every year and outpacing what employees are receiving by a large margin.

You can find anyone’s address out via publicly available info. Appraisal district sites like MCAD are goldmines for that.

Last year they did that thing where anyone(EMTEC) who donated $1,000+ got an invite to MZ’s house. The department’s hierarchy‑worshipping kiss‑up would not shut up about how he donated, he went, and how he was “told not to share the address.” Nobody asked, nobody cared, but he kept repeating it like as “quick, funny story” .
They also raised minimum amount that you can give this year, it’s tripled from what it was last year. Minimum donation is $25 with credit card and $75 if you elect payroll deduction.
@a1 they dont pay folks in these low-cost sites anywhere near what they pay Americans. Indians are paid about 1/8 to 1/10th. And what does UW contribute to their countries?
Keep the American resentment within your country and pick on someone your size, literally and metaphorically
Since my job is yearly contract, I’ve officially dumped this task on the executives.
I stopped donating too. Blood drive and other matters that do not aid in my ranking, I would rather not participate in sc--wing myself up.
@OP Taking pictures at those events is more than enough. The amount EM drains from society :emissions, mental health, politics, taxes ....you could pour your whole life into it and still never balance the ledger.
Or they can ask the people in Buenos Aires, Kuala Lumpur & Bangalore to pick up the slack, since those are the only sites they are focused on staffing-wise.
