@ap nit picking details... if you are one of the people impacted a few days or weeks of extra pay isn't really going to matter much. Being unemployed in today's job market is what will really matter.
The article implies the timing is connected to Q2 start, but unless the RIF started last week that’s unlikely. Even without WARN the terminations don’t take effect for 10 or so business days.
