We hired totally incompetent average Joe's in crucial leadership positions. Liz, Fran, G2, Martinez, and the list goes on. Anybody with a brain ends up quitting. Look at acquired CxOs from Meraki, Duo, Webex, OpenDNS. They all bailed out.
G2 happened.

The old way didn't yield quite enough compensation for bloated senior "leadership". That was simply unacceptable and here we are today.
