@ax HR dictates date for when notice has to be delivered. Notice had to be this week for LDOP 1st week of Sept. So not early.

at the beginning of the year, our group was told by upper management we would be busy with the fiber overbuild until 2030. then the july surplus hit us, with announcement that next year and the following year will have surpluses affecting our group. now hearing another surplus is coming before the end of this year. cant believe anything they say, what a crock.
We got our announcement yesterday in the Torretta Org but the only people let go for the most part had other opportunities, or had volunteered, and had been told ahead of time. The AVP said that the rest of us were safe and that he didn't feel like any of the rest of us needed to worry.
And my manager is such a baby, if he gets mad at you for something, he’ll stop talking to you, won’t even reply over email.
That's primarily a him problem if he's a roadblock to you doing your job. You still get paid and have an excuse in writing why you're at a standstill.
got notice as well, sales & technical support, surprised but not surprised knew the day would eventually come and in some ways it feels like a weight has been lifted. Had a good career and was part of this great company before the poor leadership of Randall Stephenson and John Stankey, been hard to watch over the past 18 years, always hoped it would get better. I'll get a severance and have a pension which I've definitely earned. Best of luck to you all.
Heard of some people getting notices this week. Word on the street was it’s not supposed to happen until first week of Sept, so I guess some teams are doing them early.
Supposed to be something coming soon, then again in Dec, but that’s the rumor.
Praying mobility technicians get an offer or surplus. Between this dysfunctional company and its horse shyte mgmt, I can’t take much more. Complete incompetence.
